Three of AUP programs undergo PACUCOA Accreditation
In the pursuit of academic excellence, the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) has undergone another set of accreditation of its three academic programs conducted by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) last February 26-27, 2020.
The Bachelor of Science in Office Administration, Bachelor of Library and Information Science, and Bachelor of Arts in Theology underwent their first accreditation renewal of which expired last March, 2020. These three programs applied for Level II accreditation. The accreditors led by the chair of the accrediting team Dr. Maria Luz T. Macasinag, has closely evaluated the compliance of the three academic programs on the prescribed standard of the PACUCOA.
Diosdado A. Pumicpic, a 4th year Theology student said, “We know that our professors are doing their best in teaching us, but through the accreditation we see greater and wider area where we can improve more.” The Department of Chair of the Library Science, Mrs. Naicy G. Sanidad shared how she had felt while preparing for the accreditation, “I felt anxious; I was wondering if I could make it?”
Despite the laborious preparations, AUP continues to seek innovations to produce globally competitive individuals, guided by the philosophy and core values of the University while strengthening weaknesses through God’s guiding grace.
