AUP Week of Revival: Follow

With the theme “Follow”, Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) held their spiritual emphasis week, through morning and afternoon sessions from March 16 to 21, 2020 at Philippine International Church (PIC) with Pastor Don MacLafferty as the guest speaker.


The semestral week of prayer is held in support of our institution’s mission in helping the students have a closer relationship with Christ through the prayer sessions and the study of the bible. With the leadership of PIC Pastoral staff headed by Pastor Rex Mangiliman and Adventist Youth Ministries (AYM). The weeklong program started with student ushers welcoming worshipers. The guest speaker Pastor Don MacLafferty has worked with children and teens for over twenty years. Pastor MacLafferty lives in Ooltewah, TN with his wife April and their three children. Pastor Don is an Associate Pastor of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church and founder and director of Kids in Discipleship, a ministry equipping parents and caregivers to mentor kids as empowered disciples of Jesus. The weeklong program has become much notable as it strives amidst the pandemic COVID-19. weekofprayer42020_2It did not stop students, faculty and staff who stayed on campus to continue with the week of prayer, of which later on turned into a week of revival for all, with two precious souls baptized by the end of the program. Despite the challenges that came, AUP and PIC family hopes that through these revival programs, students, faculty and staff will find the passion to continue to stand firm on their faith as they continue to serve and prepare for eternity.
